Sahar Nasr Sahar Nasr JOINS ALLIANZ LIFE ASSURANCE EGYPT BOARD OF DIRECTORS Allianz Egypt proudly announces ap- pointing Dr. Sahar Nasr to the board of directors of Allianz Life Assurance Company – Egypt. Leveraging her ex- ceptional expertise, she will rein- force the company’s endeavors towards achieving more accomplish- ments, while leading the insurance sector in Egypt. This step aligns with Allianz Egypt’s commitment to the Financial Regulatory Authority’s di- rections to include female calibers and promote women's role in lead- ership positions, contributing to the state’s vision of women empower- ment. Dr. Sahar Nasr stated: “I am de- lighted to join Allianz Life Assurance Company – Egypt’s board of direc- tors, being a highly esteemed insurer, which plays a prominent role in boosting and raising awareness of in- surance in Egypt. Dedicated to serv- ing all segments of the Egyptian community, the company provides optimum insurance solutions, ensur- ing safety and alleviating burdens of potential risks, especially medical crises. Since di- versity and inclusion are deeply rooted in our DNA, females occupy- ing leadership positions increased to 33.58% in our core business, versus 26.63% in 2018.” It is worth mentioning that Dr. Sahar Nasr served as Governor of Egypt to several institutions such as the World Bank (WB) along with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Devel- opment (EBRD). She also held a number of prominent posts as the Former Egyptian Minister of Invest- ment and International Cooperation, and the Acting Minister of Public En- terprises. Throughout her 25 years of seasoned expertise in the economic development field, Nasr became the Lead Economist in the World Bank’s Finance and Private Sector Develop- ment Department of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), in addi- tion to being the Regional Program Manager for the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) in the MENA region.
