SUCCESSFUL FINANCIAL INCLUSION INITIATIVES BY PRIVATE SECTOR IN THE ARAB WORLD 1. The M-Shaba service in Tunisia: M-Shaba is a mobile banking service that enables customers to access banking services through their mobile phones. The service allows customers to check ac- count balances, transfer funds, and pay bills. M-Shaba is avail- able to customers of all Tunisian banks, and is designed to be easy to use for customers who may not be familiar with traditional bank- ing methods. 2. The Yassir mobile wallet in Morocco: assir is a mobile wallet that al- lows customers to make transac- tions, pay bills, and access other financial services through their mobile phones. The app also of- fers a range of services such as peer-to-peer transfers and is avail- able for customers of all Moroc- can banks. 3. The Tarabut Gateway in Bahrain: Tarabut Gateway is a digital plat- form that enables customers of Bahraini banks to access a wide range of financial services through their mobile devices. The platform includes services such as peer-to-peer transfers, bill pay- ments, and other financial trans- actions. It aims to create a frictionless customer experience and drive financial inclusion. 4. The Tawasul service in Oman: Tawasul is a digital banking plat- form that allows customers to ac- cess banking services, pay bills and make transactions using their mobile phones. The service also includes features like peer-to-peer transfers, balance inquiries, and account management. It is avail- able to customers of all Omani banks, and is designed to make banking more accessible for cus- tomers in remote or underserved areas. 5. The Mawarid finance in UAE: Mawarid is a fully-fledged digital banking platform that allows cus- tomers to access a wide range of banking services, including ac- count management, money trans- fers, and bill payments, through their mobile phones.
