KIB KIB ORGANIZES SHE L.E.A.D EVENT WITH A GROUP OF ITS WOMEN LEADERS Kuwait International Bank (KIB) or- ganized a special event for its em- ployees to celebrate International Women’s Day. The event, entitled She L.E.A.D., featured a panel dis- cussion on activating the role of women in various positions within the Bank’s departments. This vital ini- tiative came as part of KIB’s compre- hensive strategy aimed at enhancing the status of women and empower- ing them to reach advanced leader- ship positions in the banking sector. It also aimed to identify strengths that ensure their distinction in performing their duties and achieving their aspi- rations. On this occasion, Siham AlKhorayef, Manager of Learning and Develop- ment at KIB, stated: “At KIB, we rec- ognize the vital role played by female staff across various depart- ments. We are committed to raising their awareness about the impor- tance of continuously developing their skills and advancing in their ca- reers in order to contribute effec- tively to sustainable development. This involves prioritizing job fairness and fostering an inclusive work envi- ronment free from bias.” She high- lighted that the Bank remains dedi- cated to organizing specialized events for the development of its human resources, particularly for women. Additionally, it launches tar- geted education and development programs aimed at enhancing their professional and personal capabili- ties. These efforts align with KIB’s comprehensive corporate social re- sponsibility strategy, reflecting its commitment to environmental, so- cial, and corporate governance (ESG) principles, and are consistent with its slogan, “Bank for Life.” The event, held in Al Shaheed Park, saw the attendance and active partic- ipation of fifty-five KIB employees, both in the informative panel discus- sion and subsequent workshop on “Unconscious Bias in the Work- place.” Among the participants were various bank executives, including Othman Tawfeqe, General Manager of the Retail Banking Department, Manal Al Rubaian, General Manager of Internal Audit, Deema Al Mulaifi, Assistant General Manager of Oper- ations, Maab Qasim, General Man- ager of International Banking, and Sarah Ashkanani, Executive Manager of Regulatory Compliance. The panel discussion was facilitated by Taiba Al-Humaidhi, founder of Lei Wa Lakom, specializing in support- ing numerous issues concerning Arab women. It is worth noting that KIB spares no effort in providing educational and developmental programs for its em- ployees, as well as organizing and launching initiatives and events on all important social occasions. This aligns with its long-term vision of ad- dressing all fundamental issues con- cerning its employees, customers, and the community alike. Addition- ally, the Bank reaffirms its commit- ment to supporting humanitarian principles that govern the work envi- ronment and ensure job fairness among all its staff across depart- ments. This is achieved through rais- ing awareness among them about the fundamentals of collaborative work, cooperation, and their role in achiev- ing their aspirations and enhancing their potential.
